Mens Breakfast

The Mens Breakfast meets around 4 times per year at 8:00am on a Saturday morning in the Church Guild room (behind the Church). It is an open meeting, welcoming men of all ages. The meeting starts with a three course cooked breakfast !! - and afterwards is addressed by an invited speaker. Questions and answers follow where appropriate. We have a great fellowship and YOU can be part of it.

Music Group

The church has a music group which plays at occasional church services and at other events. The group has practice sessions on Thursday evenings (twice per month) One of our main aims is to bring new music to the church and provide variety in the music available to the church. At this time we have 4 musicians (guitar / bass / clarinet, flute and recorder) and 3 singers. We are always interested in developing the group. So if you are interested please.

These have included Bible study, discussion of current issues from a Christian perspective, informal worship, prayer times and sharing fellowship together. We normally begin and end with coffee !! We also have social activities - especially involving food !!! The gatherings are always informal and we have a lot of fun.

Junior Church

Our vision is to enable children and young people to explore and respond to God's word in the Bible and to develop their faith and fellowship by sharing and learning together. A warm welcome is extended to all children and young people from 3 years old and upward. We meet in church at 10:30 am on Sunday. After sharing in part of the service we then move to the church hall and divide into smaller age groups (3-4 years, 5-7 years, 8-10 year, 10-13 years and 14+ years) with their own leaders. We aim to provide opportunities to explore, discover and learn about God's word and his world through stories, discussions, music, drama, crafts, games and prayer. On the second Sunday in each month, the children and young people remain in the church for a Family Service.

Wives & Friends

Wives & Friends was set up in 1966 as the "21 Group". Then in the 1970s the name was changed to "Young Wives". It was later felt that the name "Wives & Friends" filled the need of a greater range of ladies both in the church and the community - so the name changed again in 1988.

The group has an average attendance of 30 - 35 ladies and the programme is varied and interesting. Some are from the church others not. We meet every other Wednesday evening at 7:45 pm in Norton Methodist Church Hall.

Please feel free to come along and find out more. (see the monthly calendar for dates etc.). Janetta

Tuesday Fellowship

Tuesdays - 10:00am. Fellowship, Communion, Coffee / Tea

Wesley Guild

The Wesley Guild meet on alternate Tuesdays in the Guild room (where else !!) at 7:00 pm. Our meeting is for men and women and all ages are welcome.

We became established in 1986 but we are aware that a Wesley Guild was very active in the Church in the 1930's. We seek, as did our predecessor, to provide a fellowship which enables our members to build each other up in the Christian Faith, and thereby as individuals and as a group be active in the work of our Lord Jesus. Throughout each session we try to have a balanced programme learning, discussing, socialising and serving. We actively support the work of medical missions and the Nigerian Health Care Programme is very close to our hearts.

We would love to welcome new members ~ we have a new programme each session ~ just drop in at any or all of the evenings which interest you. If you need more information, please just ask. With our balanced programme, rich fellowship and readiness to become a forum for new ideas, the Guild provides the ideal opportunity to reach out to people in or out of the Church.
